What's New For Spring?

TLDR version: A round up of our newer products from Vegan Haggis to Pop Tarts to Whole Spring Chickens!

Back in November and December we rounded up a tonne of new additions to our store in 'Part One - The Pantry' and 'Part Two - Everything Else (Mainly Meat)' articles covering everyhting from Turkey Burgers and Chip Shop Sausages to MacLean's Shortbread and Jonas Emil Coffee Beans. Consider this article as 'Part Three - A Bit of Everything'. Once again, we'll be going through category by category.

Breakfast Classics - Puddings & Rolls

Vegan Haggis

Haggis. Delicious, but can be a little scary even for the most hardened of meat eaters out there. That's where our great Vegan Haggis comes in. We got this up on the store just in time for Burns' Night Supper, but haggis is for life, not just for Burns'. 

Whether you're veggie, vegan, or a meat eater who finds the idea of heart , liver, and lungs a little offputting, then this is the haggis for you!

Butchery - Poultry

Whole Spring Chickens, Chicken Drumettes

Next up, we've got some choice additions to the Poultry section in our Butchery. Firstly we have Whole Spring Chickens (which come premarinaded in either Cajun or Periperi style), and are perfect for a meal for two. Or even a meal for one if you're feeling particularly hungry of an evening.

We also have a Chicken Drumettes (the upper part of the wing) for you. These also come in a Cajun or Periperi marinade, but for those of you who like to flavour things yourselves you can also get them naked. 

And with the mercury topping 25c this week (in Ningbo anyway), now's the perfect time to get some of these in and get a first barbecue of the season in! 

The Deli - Sliced Meats

Sliced Roast Beef Topside

I've personally been asked for sliced roast beef at least...well countless times on the customer service accounts. It's taken us a while, but it's finally here.

And as with the sliced turkey, hams, and the wonderful Tock's Smoked Beef Brisket, you can have this in sandwiches, or just siply shovel it wholesale into your face (this is my preferred approach, and the Breakfast Champion Official Serving Suggestion).

Meal Kits - British Tea-Time Classics

Bangers 'n' Mash (with Yorkshire Puddings)

Bangers 'n' Mash, an all time favourite of anyone with a working set of taste buds. But what if I said you could get bangers, mash, Yorkshire puddings, onion gravy, and a choice of baked beans or hoeny roasted carrots as a meal kit on our store? You'd be right over there ordering some for yourself, obvs*.

*Although right this second (21.2.21) we're out of Yorkshire's,
so a little bit of patience required first, sadly.

Crackers, Cakes, & Biscuits

McVities Taste Selection, Pop Tarts, & Cereals

And finally, some great additions to the pantry. Five for breakfast, and one for afternoon tea (or with every single cup during the day if you're that way inclined). We've set up a new sub-category for the Breakfast Cereals, you'll find the biscuits in Crackers, Cakes, & Biscuits, and Pop Tarts are difficult to categorise so they're actually in three separate categories for good measure.

For without biscuits, tea is naught...
